Riverview's municipal budget schedule and presentations

RIVERVIEW (N.B.) The Town of Riverview’s budget is a reflection of the Town’s policies, goals and priorities. It communicates to citizens and staff what decisions have been made involving resource allocation for staffing, equipment and programs. The budget also conveys the action plan for the upcoming fiscal year.

The process for developing the municipal budget begins in the fall of each year. At that time, Council establishes priorities for the upcoming budget based on staff and citizen input received throughout the year.

Below is this year’s budget schedule:

Presentations from external organizations seeking funding – Oct. 25 at 6 p.m.

Budget Deliberations - Nov. 23 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Budget Deliberations - Nov. 25 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Adoption of the budget - Dec. 11 at 4 p.m. (tentative)

These budget meetings are open to the public and held in Council Chambers at Riverview Town Hall, 30 Honour House Court. Additional budget meetings may be scheduled as required.
