The Finance Department provides accounting and financial services for the Town, which includes responsibility for the following activities:

  • Collection and receipt of all money of the municipality
  • Maintain accurate accounting records with effective internal control
  • Preparation of detailed financial statements
  • Coordinate and assist with the annual external audit
  • Coordination, preparation and monitoring of annual budgets
  • Ensure that the municipality is protected by insurance
  • Advise council and its committees on all matters relating to finance or accounting
