Environment Canada has issued a winter storm warning for southeast New Brunswick beginning late this afternoon. Blowing snow will be followed by freezing rain, which could break tree limbs and cause power outages. Town of Riverview road crews are on standby for full deployment once the storm hits. Due to detriorating wetaher conditions, all Town of Riverview facilities will remain closed for the day, Feb. 16.  As a reminder, today's waste collection has been cancelled. To make up for the cancellation, residents with Thursday pick-up will be permitted to place blue, green and clear bags at the curb next Thursday, Feb. 23.

Thursday's waste collection is cancelled due to threat of extreme weather. Blue, green and clear bags will be accepted at the curbside next Thursday, Feb. 23, and will be properly sorted at the Eco360 solid waste facility. If conditions warrant, Town of Riverview offices may close, and Town of Riverview recreation programs could be cancelled.
