Fire & Rescue Services

The Fire & Rescue Department provides mutual aid fire services to neighbouring agencies and jurisdictions. It offers specialized services and personnel trained in water and ice rescue, high angle and off-road rescue.

The force includes a Chief, two Deputy Chiefs, four Captain/Paramedics, 12 Firefighters/Paramedics and an Administrative Assistant, supported by 28 volunteer firefighters. The Department responds to more than a thousand emergency incidents annually from one central station.
