Community Garden

The Town of Riverview is expanding the "Great Place to Grow" Community Garden next to the Coverdale Centre on Runneymeade Road.

Following a pilot project in 2013 to assess the site, there are two raised garden beds. We anticipate adding 50 garden plots this spring some of which will also be raised for easier access. Plots are 4' x16' for a $20 annual rental fee.

Gardening is a great way to be physically active. We are seeking volunteers to assist with the development of this garden project. This includes committee work, garden building and maintenance and facilitating educational workshops.

It is our hope that the Community Garden will be a safe and welcoming place for people to gather and share their knowledge and gardening experience.

For information about becoming a part of this community initiative please call 387-2024 or like us on Facebook.

Thank you to Kent Riverview for its generous donation of a garden shed!
