Parks & Trails

The Town of Riverview prides itself on the quantity and quality of its outdoor recreation offerings. Our community has more than 20 parks and playgrounds to accommodate a range of year-round activities for all ages and abilities. Some parks provide a peaceful, relaxing setting where you can enjoy passive leisure activities, while others are venues that encourage high activity and sports play.

Riverview's trail networks connect neighbourhoods in accordance with the Town's Active Transportation Plan.

Riverview's Parks and Recreation Department maintains 30 km of walking, running, skiing, and snowshoe trails along with more than 50 km of bicycling trails.

Please remember that motorized vehicles are prohibited on trails, with the exception of personal mobility devices such as wheelchairs.

For the enjoyment of walkers and joggers, the following portions of trail will be plowed on a regular basis beginning in Winter 2015:

  • Riverfront Park from the Causeway to the Gunningsville Bridg
  • Gunningsville Boulevard from Coverdale Road to Findlay Boulevard
  • Pinder Road from Gunningsville Road to Lawson Avenue
  • Pine Glen Road from Gunningsville Road to Coverdale Road

As well, the Town of Riverview regularly grooms approximately 15 km of cross country ski trails located in Mill Creek Park.

See you on the trails!
