Pat Crossman Memorial Aquatic Centre

The Pat Crossman Memorial Aquatic Centre has a 25-metre six-lane pool open to the public. Red Cross and Lifesaving Program lessons are offered at the facility throughout the year as well as public and family swims, adult lap recreational swims and aqua fitness classes.

The pool and boardroom are located at 400 Whitepine Road attached to Riverview High School and are available to rent.

Private Swimming Lessons at the PCMAC

NOTE: there is no guarantee you will be able to register for a lesson, all efforts will be made.

 All scheduling must be done through the Community Recreation Worker - Aquatics

  • Private lessons begin 2-3 weeks into our regular swimming lesson sessions.
  • The instructor will notify you one week in advance of your last class.
  • We recommend working on skills that are challenging.

 

Cancellations

Cancellations must be made 24 hours in advance. The lesson will be rescheduled but a refund will not be issued. Refunds will only be issued for medical reasons, in which case a doctor’s note must be presented. If a participant does not show up for a scheduled lesson or cancels with less than 24 hours notice, the lesson will be forfeited.

Price

  • 5 lessons of 30 minutes for $60 for 1 person
  • For any additional individuals $30 will be added for the 30 minutes lesson bundle.

 

To Apply for Private Lessons:

1.      Contact the Community Recreation Worker – Aquatics by email (skuhn@townofriverview.ca). An application form will be sent to you and you will be required to fill it out and send it back.

2.      Once you have indicated the day you are interested in, all efforts will be made to assign an instructor.

3.      You will be contacted by the PCMAC to confirm your day and time with the instructor and you will be required to pay prior to the start of your lessons.
