10th Annual Riverview Harvest Festival is this weekend, Sept. 27-29

This weekend from September 27-29, take a bite—or twenty—out of fall! Riverview Harvest Festival is a celebration of the food, fun, and friends that make fall one of the warmest (in spirit) times of the year. New activities this year include the Kegs and Legs 5K Run, a pumpkin spice soap workshop, and a maple leaf rug hooking workshop! Find all the details at www.townofriverview.ca/harvest.

The weekend caps off with everyone’s favourite Family Fun Day on Sunday, Sept. 29 from 1 to 4 p.m. in Caseley Park. Take in live entertainment by Jared Lutes and Magician Remi Boudreau, free pony rides and a petting pen, bounces and games, face painting, henna tattoos, a fundraising BBQ and free corn boil!

Don’t forget the annual chili cook-off in support of Riverview P.R.O. Kids is also happening during Family Fun Day. Come hungry and indulge in a delicious taste-test by purchasing a $5 sampling kit between 1 and 3:30 p.m. There’s still time to register as a chili chef! Applications are due today, Sept. 25.
