Canada Day celebrations cap off SUNFEST with a bang

Due to today's weather forecast, Canada Day celebrations will be moved indoors to the Byron Dobson Memorial Arena (90 Biggs Drive).

Come celebrate Canada Day – the final day of Riverview SUNFEST - for FREE on Monday, July 1 from 12-5 p.m. on Coverdale Road!

With an entire street of live musical performances, vendors and family-friendly activities, Riverview SUNFEST makes a final splash at the Canada Day celebration.

Coverdale Road will be closed between Pine Glen Road and Montgomery Avenue from 7 a.m. until 8 p.m. to accommodate the festivities. Activities are planned near the Fundy Chocolate River Station and active transportation to and from the site is encouraged.

There will be free bounces, giveaways courtesy of Canadian Heritage, face painting and hot food and snacks available for purchase. Show your Canadian spirit and dress in red and white for a chance to win a prize.

Enjoy performances by:

  • Eddie Chase and Graffiti Four
  • Ivan and Vivian Hicks and the Sussex Avenue Fiddlers
  • Magician and illusionist Remi Boudreau
  • Marco Rocca

Before the party winds down, head to the riverfront to see the Tri-Community Canada Day Fireworks, a collaboration between the Town of Riverview, City of Moncton and the City of Dieppe, at 10 p.m.
