Other Business

Council passed a resolution for the expropriation of land located at the corner of Pine Glen Road and Pinewood Road.

Council passed a resolution for the expropriation of land on Orin Drive.

Council approved the transfer of $2.5 million from the 2018 General Operating Fund to the General Capital Reserve Fund. This includes the budgeted amount, projected savings in certain line items plus proceeds from the sale of the RCMP building.

Council approved the transfer of $150,000 from the 2018 General Operating Fund to the General Operating Reserve Fund. This amount is in connection with the Wellness Centre planning and fundraising costs that will be incurred through the 2019 General Operating Fund. This amount will be transferred back in 2019 to fund these costs.

Council approved the transfer of $26,600 from the 2018 Utility Operating Fund to the Utility Capital Reserve Fund. This amount is per the budget to increase the reserve for future capital projects.

Council approved the transfer of $420,000 from the Utility Capital Fund to the Utility Capital Reserve Fund. This amount is in connection with a transfer from the prior year which, after finalizing 2017 results, was deemed unnecessary. It will replenish the reserve fund.

Council approved the 2019 General Operating Budget in the amount of $29,416,074.

Council approved the 2019 General Capital Budget in the amount of $9,269,400.

Council approved the 2019 Utility Operating Budget in the amount of $7,820,021 raised through the water, sewer and sewage treatment rates.

Council approved the 2019 Utility Capital Budget in the amount of $2,542,000.

Council approved the Five-Year General Capital Plan.

Council approved the Five-Year Utility Capital Plan.

Council approved a motion to cancel the December Committee of the Whole meeting.

The next Council meeting will take place on Monday, January 14, 2019 at 7 p.m.
