Presentations and Delegations

  • Presentation by Bernard LeBlanc, President and CEO of the Greater Moncton Roméo Leblanc International Airport Authority.
  • Presentation by Shane Thomson, the Town’s Director of Economic Development, on behalf of Aldéa Landry regarding the Regional Immigration Strategy.

Tenders and Requests for Proposals

  • Council accepted the recommendation to take advantage of the Town’s right to purchasing a second set of plow equipment from the successful supplier of the U Body Dump/ Spreader Box and Plow Equipment being Phil Larochelle Equipment Inc. in the amount of $142,819.64 (plus HST) as a 2020 expenditure.

By-Laws

  • In the Special Council Meeting, Council adopted By-Law 100-21, A By-Law Relating to the Division of the Municipality of the Town of Riverview into Wards for Election Purposes, Fixing the Boundaries of the said Wards; and establishing the composition of Council and the Division of Representation.

Other Business

  • Council passed a motion to appoint new Animal Control Officers Wayne Biddle, Danny Leblanc, Jessica LeBouthillier and Amanda Beers, representatives of the Greater Moncton SPCA.
  • Council approved the proposed cost sharing agreement for the new RCMP Station and provide authorization for the Mayor and Town Clerk to sign the final agreement.
  • Mayor Seamans appointed Tina Thibodeau to the Planning Advisory Committee for a two-year term effective immediately.
