Adoption of the Minutes 

  • Regular Council Meeting - August 10, 2020

First reading of by-laws to be enacted at the next Regular Council Meeting

  • By-Law 700-11, relating to the Regulation of Traffic, Parking & the Use of Streets in the Town of Riverview.

Second and final reading of by-laws enacted by Council

  • By-Law 400-25-02, respecting the Water & Sewerage Systems in the Town of Riverview.                                                            

Monthly Grant Report

  • $1,000 to Greater Moncton Peace Leaders Collaborative/Dialogue NB
  • $1,000 to the Greater Moncton Chamber of Commerce – Excellence Awards – October 22, 2020
  • $1,271.90 to Moncton Wildcats for 2 Season Tickets.

Other Business

Council were given an update on the Town’s Water Distribution System.

Council made a motion to authorize the Clerk and/or Treasurer and/or Mayor to issue and sell to the New Brunswick Municipal Finance Corporation a Municipality of Riverview debenture in the amount of $6,340,000 on such terms and conditions as are recommended by the New Brunswick Municipal Finance Corporation, and that the Town agree to issue post-dated cheques payable to the New Brunswick Municipal Finance Corporation as and when they are requested in payment of principal and interest charges on the above debenture.

Council made a motion to direct staff to consult a pest control company to explore how the Town would investigate the rodent issue so that a dollar figure, including options, could be brought back to Council.
