Fresh-air market to open in Riverview

RIVERVIEW (N.B.) – The Town of Riverview will be hosting a weekly outdoor market for farmers and artisans to sell their products at a safe and accessible location beginning this Wednesday, August 19, 6 - 9 p.m.

The Riverfront Night Market will operate in the paved parking lot of the Fundy Chocolate River Station, located at 391 Coverdale Rd, every Wednesday evening from 6 - 9 p.m. The market will run throughout the summer months and will be free to the public.

“Due to the ongoing pandemic, producers are struggling to get their products into the hands of consumers. Following the announcement of the new Holy Whale Beer Garden, we thought that it would be a great opportunity to create an open-air, weekly market to cultivate a new and special experience in town that will encourage both residents and visitors to join us on the waterfront,” says Shane Thomson, Director of Economic Development at the Town of Riverview.

In partnership with Holy Whale Brewing Co., and with the financial assistance of the National Farmers’ Union of New Brunswick, the Riverfront Night Market will offer a mix of prepared and ready-to-eat food items, fresh produce, artisanal products and much more.

“We are very excited to be a small part of this great thing! Bringing together local producers is an amazing feat in a normal year, let alone during these challenging times,” says Jeff Grandy, Co-owner of the Holy Whale Brewing Co. “A big thanks to the Town of Riverview for their persistence and diligence in piecing this together, and their work on ensuring public safety.”

We invite the media and general public to join us this Wednesday at 6 p.m., 391 Coverdale Rd, for our grand opening. For additional click here
