Pumpkin tour and outdoor fun at the 2021 Riverview Harvest Fest

Orange crunchy leaves and cooler temperatures can only mean one thing: Riverview Harvest Fest is just around the corner! Between Friday October 1 and Sunday, October 3, delight in the best of autumn with friends and family in your bubble.

Starting Friday, download the Pumpkin Palooza map and take a walking tour of 150 residential pumpkin displays. Vote for your favourite by Oct. 4. The grand prize winner will enjoy a two-night glamping experience at Broadleaf Guest Ranch.

“We supplied the first 50 people to register for Pumpkin Palooza with starter kits containing pumpkins, a straw bale and corn stalks and they were snapped up right away” said Paulette Tingley, the Town’s Youth and Community Coordinator. “So we ordered another 100 kits and those were claimed in just a few days too! It’s a great show of enthusiasm from the community.”

Other activities planned for the weekend include:

  • Fall story walk with Riverview Public Library
  • Guided sightseeing hike of Crooked Creek Trail by Maritime Detours
  • Beginner’s pickleball clinic
  • Free swim at the Pat Crossman Memorial Aquatic Centre
  • Hillbilly hoedown at the Riverview Skatepark
  • Harvest Fest specials at more than a dozen businesses throughout Albert County
