Riverview's Community Cleanup Month

To celebrate environmental stewardship and neighbourhood pride, the Town of Riverview will host its annual Community Cleanup Month from April 19 to May 13.

“We encourage all community members to join us as the Town of Riverview does their part in taking care of our Earth by making our streets, green spaces, parks and trails clean”, says Riverview Mayor Andrew LeBlanc. “It is our hope that volunteers take this opportunity to bond with their fellow residents as they help in managing litter and keeping our community healthy and beautiful.”

Beginning April 19, the Town will be offering a limited supply of bags and gloves at its Parks and Recreation office, 55 Biggs Dr. The office will be open Monday to Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

In addition to picking up supplies and selecting a location to clean up, residents can also enter their name for a chance to win a ‘green’ prize.

The Town of Riverview would like to thank its partners in the Community Cleanup – Eco360, who donated garbage bags, and Steele Sanitation.
