Riverview’s Community Cleanup Month set for April 22 to May 17

(RIVERVIEW (N.B.) – To celebrate environmental stewardship and neighbourhood pride, the Town of Riverview will host its annual Community Cleanup Month from April 22 to May 17.

“We hope residents will team up with members of their bubble to tackle a park, trail or other public space that could use some sprucing up,” says Riverview Mayor Ann Seamans. “We’re pleased that local schools will also be participating in the initiative. Every bit of help can make a difference.”

Beginning April 20, the Town will be offering a limited supply of bags and gloves at its Parks and Recreation office, 55 Biggs Dr. The office will be open Monday to Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

In addition to picking up supplies and selecting a location to clean up, residents can also enter their name for a chance to win a ‘green’ prize basket.

For questions on Community Cleanup Month, please contact Paulette Tingley at ptingley@townofriverview.ca.

The Town of Riverview would like to thank its partners in Community Cleanup Month – Eco360, who donated garbage bags, and Steele Sanitation, who donated gloves.
