Town of Riverview announces details on waste collection, Christmas tree pick-up

RIVERVIEW (N.B.) – Good news! There will be no changes to the Town of Riverview waste collection schedule over the Christmas and New Year holidays.

And if you’re wondering what to do with your natural tree when the festive season ends, you’re in luck: the Town will again offer its free Christmas tree pick-up.

During the week of January 11, 2021, place your natural tree curbside on your regular pick-up day for collection. Please ensure that all decorations, tinsel and lights are removed from the tree. (Due to demand, your tree may be collected a few days after your regular waste pick-up day.)

Meanwhile, as we now officially enter the winter months, Town officials request that residents place garbage bags a few feet from the end of their driveways, not atop snow banks. If not possible, please reduce the size of your snow bank before placing bags to reduce the risk of injury for both residents and garbage haulers.
