Town’s inaugural Spring Art Exhibit opens Tuesday at Riverview Public Library

RIVERVIEW (N.B.) – The Town of Riverview’s first-ever Spring Art Exhibit opens tomorrow at the Riverview Public Library, 34 Honour House Court.

“A total of 28 local artists submitted work for the show, which will be held until May 7,” says Paulette Tingley, the Town’s Youth and Community Coordinator. “We sincerely thank the Library for its support in hosting the exhibit, which was organized by the Town’s Art Procurement Committee.”

The citizen-led committee will select and purchase art during the show on behalf of the Town of Riverview for its municipal collection. The Town's Art Procurement Program aims to improve the appearance of public buildings, promote local talent and contribute to the economic success of artists in the community.

While the Town will buy some artwork at the exhibit, many pieces are also available for purchase by the public, says Tingley.

Exhibit visitors are reminded that masks are mandatory in the Library and that other COVID-19 protocols, such as physical distancing, are in place.
