Trail/Sidewalk closure and lane reduction on Gunningsville Boulevard

RIVERVIEW (N.B.) - The Town of Riverview wishes to advise residents that a 300-metre section of the Gunningsville Trail and sidewalk will be closed from Monday, May 11 to Friday, May 15, 2020, weather permitting.  The re-routed multi-use trail will re-open with a gravel surface until it is paved in June.

During this time, there will be no walk through access between Pinewood Road and Coverdale Road. Residents may walk up to but not past the construction site. Residents will be asked to turn around and head back from the direction they came.

The Town is also advising the motoring public that a small section of Gunningsville Boulevard, between Coverdale Road and Pinewood Road intersection, will continue to be reduced to one lane.

Traffic control personnel will be directing stop and go traffic through the work zone. Expect delays.

These measures are necessary to allow for the Bridgedale Boulevard Phase 1 construction project.

The Town apologizes for any inconvenience this may cause and appreciates the public’s patience during construction.
