Update on town facilities - COVID-19

The Town of Riverview wishes to provide an update to residents regarding the status of municipal facilities following the decision to move Zone 1 to the orange level COVID-19 recovery phase.

Under this phase, the following municipal facilities are affected and will be closed until further notice from midnight tonight:

  • Coverdale Centre
  • Bridgedale Centre
  • Skate Park / Youth Centre
  • Riverview Community Hall
  • Pat Crossman Memorial Aquatic Centre
  • Sports fields
  • The Byron Dobson Memorial Arena

Individuals or groups with events booked at the above facilities will be contacted by a member of the Parks & Recreation team.

Reaching for Rainbows Daycare, which operates out of the Riverview Community Hall, will remain open. Contact: reachingforrainbows@outlook.com and/or 389-1442 for additional information.

For information related to the status of the Boys and Girls Club daycare, operated out of the Coverdale Centre, please refer to https://www. bgcriverview.com.

The Parks, Recreation & Community Relations Office on Biggs Drive remains open to the public. Riverview Dog Park also remains open with a maximum of 10 users permitted at any given time.

Parks, playgrounds and trails remain open. As a reminder users will follow the provincial guidelines at all times.
