Update on Town Facilities – COVID 19 Level 3

Riverview, NB - The Town of Riverview wishes update residents regarding the status of the Town’s operations with the Province’s transition to level 3 Winter COVID-19 Plan as of January 14, 2022 at 11:59 p.m.

In particular, due to the restrictions in level 3 on sports and organized activities and entertainment centres, there are a number of Parks and Recreational Facilities that will be closed at this time. Those buildings and facilities include:

  • The Byron Dobson Memorial Arena
  • Pat Crossman Memorial Aquatic Centre
  • Skate Park/Youth Centre
  • Riverview Community Hall
  • Coverdale Recreation Centre (except tenants)

Regular user groups of these facilities are being contacted by the Town’s Parks and Recreation Department. Any individuals or user groups uncertain about events booked should contact the appropriate facility for further guidance.

Outdoor spaces and trails, including the Isaac’s Run Dog Park remain open and users must follow provincial guidelines at all times when using these facilities. The Town also has an equipment loan program to help residents enjoy winter recreation. For more details, please visit www.townofriverview.ca/equipmentloan.

The Fire Hall and Operations Centre are also closed to the public, but the Town Hall will remain open to the public for payments and inquiries. Residents are encouraged to consider online payment options and for inquiries to contact Town offices by phone.

  • Town Hall: 506-387-2020 (Mon-Fri, 8:30 a.m.-4:30 p.m.)
  • Public Works Dispatch: 506-387-2030 (Mon-Fri, 8 a.m-4:30 p.m.)
  • Emergency After-Hours: 506-387-2025 to leave a message and the on-call foreman will return your call promptly.

Riverview Town Council’s upcoming Committee of the Whole meeting on January 24, 2022 will be virtual and residents can view the meeting online at www.townofriverview.ca/council.

The Town would also like to remind the public that face coverings are required in all buildings owned and operated by the municipality. We thank residents for their patience and cooperation during this challenging time.
