Outdoor Recreation Facilitator

The Town of Riverview is seeking candidates for the summer student position of Outdoor Recreation Facilitator with the Department of Parks, Recreation & Community Relations from May 9^th to August 26^th.

The selected candidate will coordinate outdoor recreational programming for all ages. The Outdoor Recreation Facilitator is responsible for the planning, organizing, scheduling, implementation and evaluation of activities related to outdoor recreation programming. This position is also responsible for staff guidance and training. This is a dynamic leadership position that will have a schedule set to meet operational needs for summer programming.

Job Requirements:

• Valid New Brunswick Class 5 Driver’s License.
• Familiarity with Town of Riverview policies, procedures, rules and regulations.
• Completed minimum of one (1) year of post-secondary education and returning in the fall.
• Proven leadership and supervisory roles through work experience, volunteer positions, membership in organizations, etc.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office, Internet Explorer and social media.
• Excellent planning, organizational and time management skills.
• Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills; ability to effectively work with the public.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills.
• Criminal Record Check and Vulnerable Sector Screening.
• Certification in Workplace CPR/ First Aid.
• Knowledge of Canva, or other graphic design programs, is considered an asset.
• Certification in HIGH FIVE Principles of Healthy Child Development, an asset.
