Volunteer Firefighter
The Town of Riverview is currently accepting applications for Volunteer Firefighters with Riverview Fire & Rescue.

Minimum Qualifications:
- Proof of high school diploma or GED
- Valid New Brunswick Class 5 Driver’s License
- Completion of the Province of New Brunswick Firefighter Level 1 certificate program within two years of start date and level 2 certificate program within 3 years of start date.
- Criminal Record Check with Vulnerable Sectors Screening, meeting Town standards
- Applicants shall be residents of the Town of Riverview or live within a 9 minutes return to station time (assessed by use of the GIS map). Proof of address will be required.
Applicants will be subject to physical agility testing and must meet the medical requirements of Riverview Fire & Rescue.
Note: There will be an “Information Session” for candidates and their significant others on July 28th at 7:00 pm at the Riverview Fire and Rescue Station located at 650 Pinewood Road, Riverview. All those considering applying for this position are encouraged to attend with their significant other. This information session will detail the duties associated with being a volunteer firefighter and the time commitment involved in responding to emergencies.
