Moving To Riverview

Are you considering moving to the Greater Moncton region? You should take a good look at Riverview. In addition to being an excellent location to establish a new business, the Town of Riverview is a great place to live, work, raise a family and retire. That is reason why hundreds of families have moved to Riverview in the past few years. In fact, the percentage of the population that moved to the Town from other Canadian provinces from 2001 to 2006 was higher than the City of Moncton, the Moncton region as a whole, the Province of New Brunswick. Over 6% of the people living in Riverview in 2006 lived in another province in 2001.

The new four lane Gunningsville bridge to Moncton means that most Riverview residents are now considerably closer to downtown Moncton by car/public transit than those in either the new residential developments in both the City of Moncton and the City of Dieppe.

Whether your job is in the Town, Downtown Moncton or any other area of Greater Moncton, you are just a short commute back home.

And when you come home to Riverview, you will find low crime rates, friendly neighbours and a family-focused place to live.
Whether you are moving from Toronto, Boston, Shanghai or another community in New Brunswick, the Town of Riverview is an ideal place to live and work.  One of Canada’s top magazines, Chatelaine, recently named Greater Moncton as one of the best places to live and work in Canada. Readers Digest magazine recently named the community as the most polite in all of Canada.
In the Moncton region, you will find two world-class hospitals, three universities, multiple parks for walking/biking and many, four-season entertainment opportunities. The region is home to both the largest indoor and outdoor entertainment facilities in Atlantic Canada.

If you like the beach, just 20 minutes away on New Brunswick’s Northumberland coast, you will find the warmest beaches north of Virginia.

A key feature of Riverview’s living environment is the relatively low cost of living compared to other urban areas in Canada. According to Statistics Canada, the median monthly payments for housing related costs in Riverview can be as much as 40% lower than in other urban areas in Canada.

A short commute to work and a low cost of living combined with great work opportunities. This is what you will find in Riverview.

And the Town has worked hard to make it an attractive location to live. Town Council has invested in parks and walking/biking trails, recreational and other facilities so that residents can enjoy living in their community.

Immigrants

If you are looking at moving to Canada, you couldn’t choose a nicer community to live in than Riverview. In recent years, hundreds of new immigrants from Europe, Asia, the Middle East and South America have moved into the Greater Moncton region and are contributing to a dynamic cultural environment here.   The New Brunswick government is also focusing its efforts to attract more immigrants and has set ambitious targets for the next five years.

Riverview is an ideal choice for immigrants because of its existing immigration support assets, its excellent quality of life, low crime rates, health care system and economic opportunities.
