Polar Dip Swim & Cold Plunge Challenge
Take an icy cold plunge during this year's Winter Carnival!
On Saturday, February 11th from 1:30 - 3:30 p.m., visit the Pat Crossman Memorial Aquatic Center (PCMAC) for a fun-fill afternoon at the pool. We will be hosting a Polar Swim (open swim) and admissions is free. Remember to pack your bathing cap, suit, and a warm fuzzy towel. Also, be sure to review our Admission Requirements.
During the Polar Swim, challenge yourself at the first-ever Polar Plunge. Participants will have an opportunity to ‘cold plunge’ in water temperatures between 45F and 55F. Pre-registration is not mandatory, maximum of 50 plungers will be able to participate. All plungers are asked to make a cash donation to P.R.O Kids Riverview, a program designed for Riverview kids to get involved in local sport and recreation programs. During the event, Riverview Fire & Rescue will be onsite along with Heather Reinsborough, aquatics coordinator to help facilitate the activity.
After your swim, visit the BeaverTails food truck for a sweet and delicious treat! They will be located in the PCMAC parking lot.
