Bulk Waste Collection scheduled for May 16-19 2022

Riverview residents will be able to dispose of large and bulky waste on their regular collection day between May 16-19, 2022.  This is an opportunity to get rid of furniture, appliances, electronics, yard waste, etc. Tires will not be collected.

Remember, you can also donate gently-used furniture and household items to EnviroPlus (853-7722) and Habitat for Humanity ReStore (384-4664).

Rules for bulk waste collection:

  • Items must be placed at the curb before 6 a.m. on regular collection day and no earlier than Saturday, May 14.
  • Branches and tree limbs (no greater than 2.5 cm or 1 inch in diameter) must be securely bundled and no longer, taller or wider than 60 cm (2 feet).
  • Each bag must weigh less than 18 kg (40 lb)
  • Household hazardous waste presents a danger to collectors and will not be picked up at the curb. This includes batteries, cooking oil, aerosols, paint, light bulbs, fertilizers, chemicals, CFL bulbs, propane tanks, etc.

Eco360’s Mobile Eco-Depot and Glass Recycling Depot 

Eco360 accepts household hazardous waste, residential construction waste, appliances, furniture, tires and more through its Mobile Eco-Depot. The service is available to on a weekly basis and rotates between all communities in the south-eastern region.

Residents can recycle glass at the permanent outdoor depot on Robertson Street next to the parking lot for Mill Creek Nature Park.
