Catch the holiday spirit at the Mayor’s Christmas Light Launch

RIVERVIEW (N.B.) – ‘Tis the season! Join Mayor Ann Seamans at the riverfront gazebo on Thursday, November 22 at 7 p.m. to kick off the holiday season as we illuminate the Riverfront Trail. It's a festive evening filled with Christmas music, yummy treats and a little bit of magic! 

Bundle up for festivities that will span the Riverfront Trail including carol singing with East Coast Carolling, refreshments and sweets at the gazebo and covered bridge, and spirited adult beverages created especially for the evening by Buddha Bear Riverview sold out of its shipping container on the trail.

Inside the Fundy Chocolate River Station, LadyBoss Collective Events will host a night market, where delicious bites to eat, artisanal goods and other stocking stuffers can be purchased.

Catch performances in the Cocoa Room by local vocalist Josée Richard and a sneak peek at The School of Atlantic Ballet’s upcoming show ‘A Christmas Carol.’ The Cocoa Room will also have holiday treats and a cash bar with festive cocktails.

Help reduce waste at this event by bringing your own mug to fill up with free hot chocolate, spiced cider, egg nog, coffee or tea. If you forget, 2019 Riverview Winter Carnival adventure mugs will be sold for $10 in the Fundy Chocolate River Station lobby.

“Since 2016, the Town of Riverview has made annual investments in the Light Up Riverview campaign, adding lights and underground electrical infrastructure to make our riverfront sparkle and entice shoppers to ‘Find Your Gift in Riverview!’ The campaign has been embraced by local residents, businesses and visitors alike,” said Mayor Ann Seamans. “With additional support from the Government of New Brunswick in 2017, and investment from our local business community, we’re making strides in our five-year plan to create beautiful spaces that promote economic activity and community pride around the holidays. This year’s event will be bigger and brighter than ever before!”
