Clarification on the status of municipal recreation facilities - COVID-19

RIVERVIEW (N.B.) – Following the Provincial COVID-19 update this afternoon, the Town of Riverview wishes to provide clarification on the following:

  • Playground structures remain closed at this time.
  • The Town is seeking further clarification from the Province on the dog park. At this moment it remains closed.
  • Mill Creek Nature Park and Town of Riverview Trails remain open. Residents should practice physical distancing of 2 metres (six feet).
  • Sports fields remain closed and traditionally open in June. Notification of these facilities opening will occur through our normal channels.

We understand that everyone is keen to get back to some form of normality. However, The Town of Riverview will only re-open municipal facilities when they are safe for the public.

We thank residents for their patience and cooperation during this unprecedented time.

Updates on the reopening of Town facilities will be communicated as soon as possible both on social media and the COVID-19 webpage: https://www.townofriverview.ca/coronavirus-covid-19
