Adoption of the Minutes 

First reading of by-laws to be enacted at the next Regular Council Meeting

  • By-Law 300-33-1 - A By-Law to Amend the Town of Riverview Municipal Development Plan By-Law 300-33.
  • By-Law 300-7-2 - A By-Law to Amend the Town of Riverview Zoning By-Law 300-7.
  • By-Law 700-80 - A By-Law Requiring Street Trees for New Main Building Developments within the Town of Riverview.

Other Business

Council approved recommendations from the Compensation Committee and further that staff undertake the necessary by-law amendment. Salary increases will be as follows: a $5,639 increase in Mayor’s salary to $38,122, a $2,575 in Deputy Mayor’s salary to $19,544, and a $1,056 increase in Council’s salary to $16,025. These increases are to become effective following the swearing-in ceremony of the new Council in May 2020.

Council approved a recommendation that the CPI increase be added to the recommendations of the Council Compensation Committee effective in 2020.

Council approved the transfer of $2,600,000 from the 2019 General Operating Fund to the General Capital Reserve Fund.

Council approved the transfer of $600,000 from the 2019 General Operating Fund to the General Operating Reserve Fund.

Council approved the transfer of $245,000 from the 2019 Utility Operating Fund to the Utility Capital Reserve Fund.

Council approved the 2020 General Operating Budget in the amount of $27,558,886.

Council approved the 2020 General Capital Budget in the amount of $12,391,800.

Council approved the 2020 Utility Operating Budget in the amount of $7,934,377 raised through Water, Sewer and Sewage Treatment rates.

Council approved the 2020 Utility Capital Budget in the amount of $5,130,000.

Council approved the Five-Year General Capital Plan.

Council approved the Five-Year Capital Plan.

Council approved a motion to cancel the December Committee of the Whole meeting.

Council approved the implementation of the new Emergency Mutual Aid Agreement and that the Mayor and Town Clerk be authorized to sign all related documentation.

Council approved the sale of the property located at 555-557 Pine Glen Road bearing PID # 05051388 to Fillmore Property Management for $125,000 (+HST if applicable) and that the Mayor and Town Clerk be authorized to sign all necessary documentation.
