New Business

  1. Award of Tender 21-67 for the Supply and Delivery of One (1) New Latest Model 1-Ton Regular Cab (Gas) 4WD Truck, Chassis and Cab to Lounsbury Automotive in the amount of $39,997.96 plus HST.
  2. Award of Tender 21-69 for the purchase of a new Cat 440 Backhoe from Toromont Cat by taking advantage of the Alternative Procurement option through the NSDTI tender agreement in the amount of $169,900 plus tax (plus trade-in of backhoe).
  3. Award of Tender 21-39 for the purchase One (1) Cat 259D3 Skid Steer from Toromont Cat by taking advantage of the Alternative Procurement option through the NSDTI tender agreement in the amount of $88,000 plus HST (and trade-in of Massey Ferguson tractor).
  4. Appointment – Planning Advisory Committee: Myriam Mekni and Daniel Primeau were appointed as members of the Town of Riverview Planning Advisory Committee for a two-year term.
  • Myriam Mekni is Executive Director of the Multicultural Association of Greater Moncton (MAGMA). She has extensive leadership experience in multiple sectors, including immigration, education, technology and government.
  • Daniel Primeau of Riverview has more than 34 years of business experience, culminating in a VP role overseeing four departments with an operational governance mandate, including product and business strategies.

Next Meeting 

Council will meet for a Committee of the Whole Meeting at 7 p.m. Monday, January 25, 2021. In light of Zone 1 – which includes the Town of Riverview – now being in the red phase of the COVID-19 recovery levels, this meeting will take place via Zoom. As a result, residents will be unable to attend the meeting in person but will be able to view it live on our webpage at www.townofriverview.ca/council.
