- None presented
Policies
- Council approved an amendment to the Community Investment Policy. Revisions include a process for the three “Relationship Grants” in excess of $15,000, which are Riverview Boys & Girls Club, Riverview Arts Centre and Capitol Theatre. The process will start immediately by requesting mid-year reports from each of the three organizations.
Tenders and Requests for Proposals (RFP)
- None presented
Other Business
- Council approved a recommendation from Committee of the Whole to contract the sale and administration of animal tag licences to a third party provider, DocuPet Incorporated. The program is anticipated to launch on November 1 with a public education campaign to begin in September.
- Council authorized staff to proceed with the Town’s procurement process to evaluate and test options for implementing AVLs (automatic vehicle location) with the Town’s fleet of vehicles.
- Council accepted the 2018 mid-year Strategic Plan status report.
- Council appointed Brian Bell as the by-law enforcement officer to begin employment on July 23, 2018.
