First and second reading of by-laws to be enacted at the next Regular Council Meeting

  • None presented

Presentations and Delegations

  • Karine Pelletier presented on behalf of the New Brunswick Association for Community Living.
  • Myriam Mekni and Georges Nammour gave an update on the 2018 activities of the Multicultural Association of Greater Moncton (MAGMA).
  • Andrew Boudreau of AC Stevenson & Partners presented the Town of Riverview’s 2017 audited financial statements.

Tenders and Requests for Proposals (RFP)

  • Tender 18-40 to Avondale Construction Ltd. In the amount of $1,049,000 +HST for Byron Dobson Arena phase 2 for the renovations to the upper rink.
  • Tender 18-52 to MacArthurs Paving and Construction Ltd in the amount of $787,405+HST for asphalt concrete paving on various streets.

Council Recommendations 

  • Committee of the Whole recommended to endorse Town staff participation in the South-East Regional Service Commission (SERSC) Asset Management Initiative.
  • Committee of the Whole recommended to approve the Municipal Emergency Response Plan prepared by the Town of Riverview and Cities of Moncton and Dieppe.
  • Committee of the Whole recommended to approve two new policies to regulate the use of public meeting rooms at Riverview Town Hall and at the Riverview Fire Station.

These recommendations will be brought forward for adoption at the next Regular Council Meeting.
