Recommendations

  • Committee of the Whole recommends to decline a request from the Atlantic Wellness Community Centre (AWCC) to be considered a “Relationship Grant” by being provided with a long-term commitment of $10,000 per year. Councillor LeBlanc declared a conflict of interest as an employee of the AWCC and vacated Council Chambers for the duration of Council’s discussion on the subject.
  • Committee of the Whole recommends to formally approve the building inspection and municipal planning service agreement with the Southeast Regional Service Commission. This agreement will begin on January 1, 2020.
  • Committee of the Whole recommends to proceed with the process to enact By-Law 700-65, a by-law relating to the installation of signs on lands within, owned, and administered by the Town of Riverview.
  • Committee of the Whole recommends to proceed with the process of expropriating land at the corner of Pine Glen Road and Pinewood Road in preparation for the future roundabout at this intersection scheduled for 2021.
  • Committee of the Whole recommends to proceed with the process of expropriating land on Orin Drive for the purpose of a local improvement project scheduled for that street in 2019.
  • Committee of the Whole recommends to become a Dialogue NB Community following a presentation by the organization’s CEO Nadine Duguay at the most recent Regular Council Meeting.
