Councillor-at-Large Tammy Rampersaud elected Deputy Mayor

Riverview Town Council elected Councillor-at-Large Tammy Rampersaud to a one-year term as deputy mayor following a motion at the May 14, 2018 Regular Council Meeting. She will take over the position from Councillor Wayne Bennett.

The deputy mayor is called upon to represent the mayor at public events when she cannot attend and chair Council meetings in the absence of the mayor. Council elects a new deputy mayor every year.

Deputy Mayor Rampersaud will serve in this role until May 2019.
