Deadline Extended: 2018 Envision Riverview Micro-Grant program is now open

You’re invited to be an architect of the Town of Riverview's future! The Envision Riverview Micro-Grant program is now open and accepting applications for small-scale grants for actions and ideas that will contribute to the overall sustainability of the town.

Eligible projects must be community-driven and create meaningful impact and community awareness for the goals outlined in Envision Riverview, the Town’s Integrated Community Sustainability Plan (ICSP). Successful applications will receive up to $2,500 in funding.

When Envision Riverview was adopted by Council in 2014, community participation was valued as the most important element of the plan’s success.

Each year, Riverview High School students, community organizations and residents pitch action ideas for sustainable community improvements that align with the goals in Envision Riverview. Since 2015, more than $15,000 in funding has been provided by the Town of Riverview and partnering sponsors to bring these visionary community projects to life.

Successful applicants will publicly pitch their projects to a panel of judges at Sustaina-Palooza on Saturday, April 28 and micro-grant awards will be announced at the event. Everyone is invited to take in the pitches and cheer for their favourites!

All projects must be completed and final reports and claims submitted no later than December 31.

It will be held this year on April 26-28, 2018.
