Fall Clean-Up: Bulky items will be collected Oct. 15-18, 2018

Riverview residents will be able to dispose of large and bulky waste on their regular collection day during the week of October 15-18, 2018. This opportunity is offered twice per year for residents to get rid of furniture, appliances, electronics, yard waste, etc. Tires will not be collected.

Remember, you can also donate gently-used furniture and household items to EnviroPlus (853-7722) and Habitat for Humanity ReStore(384-4664).

Rules for bulk waste collection:

  • Items must be placed at the curb before 6 a.m. on regular collection day.
  • Branches must be tied together and can be no longer than 1.2 metres (4 ft).
  • Each bag must weigh less than 18 kg (40 lb)
  • Household hazardous waste presents a danger to collectors and will not be picked up at the curb. This includes batteries, cooking oil, aerosols, paint, light bulbs, fertilizers, chemicals, CFL bulbs, propane tanks, etc.

Eco360’s Mobile Eco-Depot

Eco360 accepts household hazardous waste, residential construction waste, appliances, furniture, tires and more through its Mobile Eco-Depot. The service is available at one of the 17 municipalities in the south-eastern region on a rotating weekly basis. For more information, visit www.eco360.ca or call 506-877-1040. This program replaces Eco360’s previous semi-annual household hazardous waste drop-off in Riverview.
