
Mi’kmaq Grand Council Flag To Be Permanently Displayed At Riverview Town Hall
RIVERVIEW (N.B.) – To commemorate this year’s National Indigenous Peoples Day, the Town of Riverview will permanently display the Mi’kmaq Grand Council flag inside Council Chambers and outside of Town Hall. A public flag raising ceremony will take place outside of Riverview Town Hall, 30 Honour House Court on June 21 at 10 a.m.
- All are welcome to attend this historic community gathering.
- All attendees are encouraged to wear orange to the ceremony.
- All attendees, including journalists, are asked not to take photos or video recordings of the spiritual components of the ceremony without receiving explicit consent from the Elders and Knowledge Keepers leading the ceremony.
