Nominate a Riverview Sports Wall of Fame inductee

RIVERVIEW (N.B.) Do you know someone who is a sports ambassador for Riverview? Someone who has excelled at the top levels of their sport?

The Town of Riverview is seeking nominations for the 2019 Riverview Sports Wall of Fame.

Nominees can be athletes or teams who have achieved an outstanding or prominent level in their sport, and builders who have coached or contributed to sporting excellence in other leadership capacities.

Complete a nomination form here and return it to Brian Frontain at or Riverview Town Hall by Monday, May 13, 2019.

The nominations will be reviewed by the nomination selection committee. The selected nominees are inducted during a special bi-annual ceremony, held at the Coverdale Centre later this fall.

In 2017, the following individuals were inducted into the Riverview Sports Wall of Fame:

  • Ralph Chambers (Athlete/Builder - Baseball)
  • Christine Daley (Athlete - Gymnastics)
  • Carolyn Jayner (Builder - Speed skating)
  • Janna MacLellan (Builder - Skating)
  • Peter Hanson (Builder - Hockey).

About the Riverview Sports Wall of Fame:
Located at the Byron Dobson Arena, the Riverview Sports Wall of Fame honours outstanding athletic achievements and contributions to the Riverview sports community. Inductees can be athletes, teams or builders (coaches, managers, athletic staff or administration). A ceremony to commemorate new inductees is held once every two years.
