Open call for Petitcodiac River storytellers

This summer Ride the Tide Bike Tours will deliver eco-cultural group adventures along the Petitcodiac River that go beyond the traditional interpretation experience. We are planning a range of fun-stops that provide interesting information, quirky local stories, and hands-on activities that involve all the senses: touch, taste, smell, sight, and sound.

We’re looking for local folks with expertise in all facets of the Petitcodiac River: Indigenous, Acadian and European history; river ecology and geology; marine biology, etc. who can provide a memorable experience of our unique river. Tours will be held every Wednesday and Friday between July 4 and August 24. Storytellers (fun-stops) are needed for one 30-minute segment between 10 a.m. and noon. A $100 honorarium will be provided for a commitment of three tours.

If you have a story or activity to share and daytime availability this summer, please complete the Petitcodiac River Storyteller Form and we’ll be in touch with you.

Ride the Tide is a new product in the Tourism New Brunswick Experience Collection developed jointly by the Town of Riverview, La Bikery Co-op, Fundy Biosphere Reserve and Petitcodiac Watershed Alliance.
