Riverview Winter Carnival returns with 40 activities to celebrate the coolest season!

RIVERVIEW (N.B.) A highlight of Maritime winters since 1975, the Riverview Winter Carnival embraces being in the land of ice and snow over 11 days of outdoor adventures, winter wellness activities and good-old fashioned play. Come be a part of the coolest celebration around, Feb. 2-11, 2018.

With a mix of 40 indoor and outdoor activities hosted by the Town of Riverview and community partners, festival-goers will find there’s something for everyone!

Celebrations ignite with fireworks at Winter Wonderland Park on Friday, Feb. 2. Bundle up for a dance party in the giant igloo from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. where there will also be free hot chocolate and skating on the outdoor oval. Fireworks start at 7:30 p.m. Sliding is not permitted on Friday due to the fireworks display set-up.

Winter Wonderland Weekend

Two days chock full of winter fun, it’s no wonder Winter Wonderland Weekend is the most popular Winter Carnival event year after year!  Don’t miss the chance to be a part of the community ice castle build on Saturday, Feb. 3 and Sunday, Feb 4 between 1 p.m. and 3:30 p.m., at Winter Wonderland Park. Make your own ice bricks to bring to the castle construction by freezing water in 2-litre milk or juice containers. The park will be bustling with free Riverview Lion’s Club sleigh rides, s’more-making, maple taffy on the snow for $1, sliding and snowboarding on the hill, and ice skating on the oval. Come and borrow a pair of ice sledges on loan from Para NB as a seated option for accessible skating.
