Traffic advisory: Closure of Hall Creek Route 15 traffic circle

Riverview residents should be aware that the Department of Transportation and Infrastructure will be closing the Halls Creek Route 15 traffic circle in Moncton between Sept. 15 at 12:00 a.m. and Oct. 5 by the end of the day, weather permitting.

The closure is necessary to allow for the department to do rehabilitation work to the traffic circle, the ramps leading into the traffic circle as well as the Botsford Street and Paul Street interchanges areas.

Due to high traffic volumes and to ensure the construction is done safely and efficiently, this will require closure of the traffic circle and some of the work will take place overnight. The department is working closely with the municipalities of Moncton, Dieppe and Riverview, and other stakeholders to ensure that the impacts on the travelling public are mitigated.

Detour signage will be in place and the department is asking the public to try to avoid the area by taking alternative routes or plan the trip in advance as delays are expected. The Department would like to apologize for any inconvenience to the travelling public and appreciates the public’s patience.
