Update on facilities following decision to move Zone 1 to the yellow recovery phase

RIVERVIEW (N.B.) – The Town of Riverview wishes to provide an update to residents regarding the status of municipal facilities following the decision to move Zone 1 to the yellow level COVID-19 recovery phase.

The following facilities will reopen on Saturday, October 24, 2020:

  • Byron Dobson Arena
  • Coverdale Centre
  • Bridgedale Centre
  • Skate Park and Community Hall
  • Youth Drop-in Centre
  • Sports fields

The regular user groups of these facilities have been contacted directly by the Parks and Recreation Department.

Children’s dance programs will resume in the Fitness Studio on Saturday, October 24 at the usual times. Scheduled October fitness classes will finish off via Zoom. In person fitness sessions will resume on Sunday, November 1.

Aquatic rentals at the Pat Crossman Memorial Aquatic Centre will resume on Saturday, October 24, with all other aquatic programming resuming on Tuesday, October 27.

Individuals, groups and organizations using Town Recreation facilities are reminded to ensure they have submitted their operational plan and follow all the provincial guideline as contained in the yellow phase.

A reminder that the public are required to wear a face covering in all municipally owned and operated buildings.
