From Wednesday, May 20, 2020, the following Town facilities will re-open:

  • Isaac’s Run Dog Park

Sports courts located at:

  • Wentworth Court – Traynor St
  • Patricia Park Court – Cleveland Ave
  • Ridgeway Court – Fairway Blvd
  • Gunningsville Court – Old Coach Rd

In the case of the dog park, all users are required to provide their own hand sanitizer and follow the COVID-19 Code of Conduct which will be visible on signage. The dog park will be closed daily from 9-10 a.m. and 2:30-3 p.m. for disinfecting procedures. Facilities will be monitored for compliance with the Province’s physical distancing regulations and only 10 people are permitted in each of the small and large parks at one time. Failure to comply with the provincial regulations or Code of Conduct will result in the park being closed.

Users of the sports courts must also observe social distancing and other health protocols at all times.

The Community Garden is scheduled to open on June 1. Users must bring their own tools and follow the signage to ensure safety. The garden is for the use of registered users only and not open to the general public.

In light of the Provincial directives in relation to large gatherings, the traditional Canada Day celebrations along Coverdale Road and the tri-community fireworks will not be taking place this year. The following events are also not permitted:

  • Block Parties
  • Sounds of Summer Concert Series
  • Movies in the Park
