The Town of Riverview is currently accepting applications for a term position of Administrative Assistant.

Minimum QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Diploma in business/office technology, records management or administration.
  • Previous administrative experience, an asset.
  • Ability to create and maintain databases and electronic files.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and other relevant software.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills are essential. 
  • Ability to work independently and with limited supervision.
  • Ability to effectively communicate with the public via telephone, email and in-person.
  • Maintain confidentiality of sensitive and private information.
  • Ability to scan physical files; lift and move filing boxes.
  • Criminal Record Check, meeting Town standards.

This term position is sponsored through the Youth Employment Fund (YEF) for a duration of 26 weeks, 30 hours per week at $11.25 per hour.  Therefore, all applicants must meet the following YEF criteria:

Youth Employment Fund CRITERIA:

  • Must be between 18-29 years of age;
  • Must be legally entitled to work in Canada;
  • Must be a resident of New Brunswick;
  • Must be currently unemployed, underemployed or working less than 15 hours per week;
  • Have not previously participated in a YEF placement;
  • Must not be a full time student.
