The Town of Riverview is currently accepting applications for the term position of Human Resources Assistant- Summer Student from May 2021 to August 2021. 

The purpose of this position is to provide administrative and technical assistance to the Department of Human Resources in such areas as the records management, recruitment and on-boarding processes, occupational health and safety and employee engagement initiatives.  The Human Resources Assistant is responsible for managing the HRIS and MSDS Online systems. The Human Resources Assistant works on several HR initiatives including employee training curriculum development, policy research and drafting, and HR process documentation.

 Minimum QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Currently enrolled in post-secondary education, focusing on Human Resources Management
  • Strong attention to details and organizational skills
  • Maintain confidentiality of private and sensitive information
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and Human Resources Information Systems (HRIS)
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills are essential
  • Ability to work independently and with limited supervision
