Program Assistant

The Town of Riverview is currently seeking applicants for the part-time position of Program Assistant with the Department of Parks, Recreation and Community Relations.

The selected candidate will assist the Fitness Instructors with the sanitization, screening and monitoring of program participants and the IT set-up of virtual fitness classes. We are looking to fill mainly daytime hour shifts:

• Monday to Friday- 8:15am to 11:30am
• Monday to Thursday- 12:30pm to 2:30pm 

Shifts are dependent upon obtaining the participant numbers to run the programs.

Rate of pay: $11.70/hr

Responsibilities:

• Actively screen program participants as they enter the fitness studio.
• Allow Zoom participants into the class once the class has started.
• Start the music when the instructor indicates that they are ready to start. Adjust volume overhead and in the computer accordingly.
• Monitor participants to ensure everyone is following the physical distancing requirements.
• Assist the fitness instructor with disinfecting touched surfaces and equipment.
• Before leaving ensure paperwork is completed and placed in the correct file.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Knowledge of audio equipment and the Zoom platform would be considered an asset.   
• Ability to effectively and efficiently work with the public.
• Ability to efficiently fill out, organize and file paperwork.
