Reporting to the Chief Administrative Officer or designate, the Project Coordinator, will coordinate the project development for the proposed Wellness Centre concept for the Town of Riverview. The role will support a dedicated and professional team of volunteers to implement the Wellness Centre Fundraising Campaign, supporting all fundraising activities and the work of the Fundraising Steering and Cabinet Committees. You will act as a liaison between the Wellness Centre Fundraising Steering Committee, Cabinet Committee and Town of Riverview staff. The role will coordinate the development of the technical, operational and design requirements for the proposed facility in concert with the Steering Committee and Town Management.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Provide efficient administrative and related support services to the Fundraising Steering and Cabinet Committees and their sub-committees, including managing correspondence,  handling enquiries, meeting deadlines, preparing reports and related material, presenting to groups and organizations, generating and dispersing marketing materials,  assisting with the planning and implementation of fundraising events, providing accurate record-keeping, etc.
  • Collect and verify required information and statistics for use by town staff, committee members, and/or volunteers.
  • Direct media enquiries to the appropriate person(s), assist with the management of social media activities (Twitter, Facebook and Website).
  • Act as the first point of contact for incoming fundraising inquiries while responding to all fundraising inquiries, requests and gifts received, in an efficient and professional manner.
  • Provide project management support to ensure activities of the fundraising team are aligned with technical and building specification requirements and other elements of this project.
  • Assist in identifying and researching funding opportunities as requested by the fundraising committee.
  • Coordinate internal and external teams to define and establish the technical and building specification requirements for this project.
  • Provide the Town project management support in working with the professionals supporting the technical and building design requirements for this facility.
  • Assist with the writing of grant applications and liaising with the federal and provincial levels of government.
  • Produce Requests for Quotes, Requests for Proposals or Requests for Tenders for related goods and services as per the Town of Riverview policies, as required.
  • Manage the supplies of fundraising materials including liaising with printers, graphic designers etc. as required.
  • Provide support for events, presentations, etc.
  • Participate in Council, staff and fundraising committee meetings as required.
  • Provide support with the generation of an Economic Impact Study measuring the impacts of the construction of the Wellness Centre upon the Town.
  • Assist with the production of a Functional and Technical Program Assessment for implementation by the Town.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

  • University degree in business, marketing, project management or a related field.
  • 3-5 Experience in Project Management.
  • Experience with fundraising preferred.
  • Experience working in the municipal environment preferred.
  • Excellent administrative and time management skills.
  • Ability to use initiative, manage challenging workloads and direct others including volunteers. 
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Strong communication skills including written, spoken with a positive telephone etiquette.
  • Possess a proven high degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, however experience with additional software programs, including fundraising databases would be an asset.
  • Enthusiastic and collaborative team-player with a flexible, adaptable and positive attitude.
  • NB Class 5 Drivers license and access to a vehicle is an asset.
  • Criminal Record Check to meet Town standards.
  • Non-traditional hours, flexibility for hours required.

This position is a full time role for a term of 1 year, with possibility of renewal.
