As the Project Coordinator, you will support a dedicated and professional team of volunteers to implement the Wellness Centre Fundraising Campaign, supporting all fundraising activities and the work of the Steering and Cabinet Committees. You will act as a liaison between the Wellness Centre Fundraising Steering and Cabinet Committees, the fundraising consultants and Town of Riverview staff.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Provide efficient administrative and related support services to the Fundraising Steering and Cabinet Committees and their sub-committees, including:
  • Organize and schedule up to three 1-hour meetings each month, including prepare agendas and meeting minutes.
  • Collect and verify required information and statistics for use by town staff, committee members, and/or volunteers.
  • Prepare and present progress reports and presentations.
  • Preparation and distribution of solicitation kits, thank you letters, donor pledges and related materials.
  • Ensure volunteers and donors are informed of campaign progress and relevant details.
  • Maintain an orderly computer and manual filing system of donors and volunteers.
  • Respond to fundraising enquiries, requests and gifts received, in an efficient and professional manner.
  • Assist in identifying and researching funding opportunities as requested by the fundraising committees.
  • Assist with the writing of grant applications and liaising with the federal and provincial levels of government.
  • Produce Requests for Quotes, Requests for Proposals or Requests for Tenders for related goods and services as per the Town of Riverview policies, as required.
  • Assist in planning a kick-off event for the public phase of the fundraising campaign
  • Assist in the Management of social media activities (Twitter, Facebook, and Website).
  • Coordinate the receipt of gifts with the Finance department, including donor pledges, tax receipts and weekly donation updates.
  • Coordinate activities with fundraising consultants to develop a business case for the Fundraising Initiative.
  • Other related activity as required for the implementation of the Wellness Centre Fundraising initiative as determined by the Town of Riverview.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

  • University degree in business, marketing, project management or a related field.
  • Experience in Project Management.
  • Experience with fundraising preferred.
  • Experience working in the municipal environment preferred.
  • Excellent administrative and time management skills.
  • Ability to use initiative, manage challenging workloads and direct others including volunteers. 
  • Strong communication skills including written, spoken with a positive telephone etiquette.
  • Possess a proven high degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, however experience with data entry and additional software programs, including fundraising databases would be an asset.
  • Enthusiastic and collaborative team-player with a flexible, adaptable and positive attitude.
  • NB Class 5 Drivers licence and access to a vehicle is an asset.
  • Criminal Record Check to meet Town standards.
  • Non-traditional hours, flexibility for hours required.

This position is a full time role for a 6 month term, with possibility of renewal.
