ADOPTION OF THE MINUTES 

  • Regular Council Meeting – January 8, 2024 
  • Committee of the Whole Meeting – January 22, 2024 
  • Special Council Meeting – January 22, 2024 

RECOMMENDATIONS FROM COMMITTEE OF THE WHOLE 

  • Council approved the RCMP 2024 budget.  
  • Council approved the 2024 Annual Grant Requests totaling the amount of $54,350.  
  • Council approved the 2024 Annual Grant to Atlantic Wellness in the amount of $10,000. 
  • Council approved the 2024 Annual Grant to the Riverview Lion’s Club in the amount of $3,000. 
  • Council approved the date of a public hearing to consider objections to the proposed by-law amendment for the Hillsborough Rd. re-zoning to be scheduled for March 25, 2024 at 6:30 p.m. in Council Chambers, and referred Zoning By-law 300-7-12 to the Planning Advisory Committee for its written views.  
  • Council amended to move the date of the public hearing for the Pine Glen Rd @ Whitepine Rd re-zoning to Tuesday, April 9, 2024 at 6:30 p.m.  
  • Council moved to reschedule the Regular Council meeting to Tuesday, April 9, 2024, immediately following the public hearing.  
  • Council approved the recommendations from the Equity, Diversity, & Inclusion Committee 

NEW BUSINESS 

  • Council awarded Tender 24-42 for the supply & delivery of One Tow Behind Lift to Prime Material Handling Inc., in the amount of $52,456.52 +HST, and approved that the Mayor and Town Clerk sign all related documentation.  
  • Council awarded Tender 24-44 for the supply & delivery of two (2) New Commercial Zero Turn Mowers to Nova International Ltd., in the amount of $55,790 +HST and approved that the Mayor and Town Clerk sign all related documentation.  

COUNCIL STATEMENTS/INQUIRIES 
Mayor LeBlanc extended congratulations to the Parks, Recreation, & Community Relations staff on a successful 49th annual Winter Carnival.
