External Reports
- Building & Planning – Building and Permit report, and the Development & Activity report, for the month of September 2023.
- Codiac RCMP shared the Activity Report and Occurrence Statistics for the month of September 2023
Departmental Reports
- All departments shared their reports for September 2023.
- Councillor Thorne addressed the issue of parking on Buckingham Avenue at the Riverview High School path and asked that staff connect with the school to remind parents to be mindful of parking too close to residents’ driveways. By-law enforcement staff continue to monitor the area for any parking infractions.
Other Business
- Grant Report - October 2023 – Council recommended the approval of a grant in the amount of $3,000 for the Indo Canada Association for the Diwali celebration. Staff approved two grants, one for Bowen Christie Codiac Soccer – Nationals in the amount of $100, and one for the Christmas Daddies Telethon in the amount of $250.
- Regional Service Commission – Planning and Inspection Services Updated Agreement – the Committee of the Whole recommends that Riverview Town Council approves the renewal of the Planning and Inspections Agreement for a three-year term, with options to renew.
- Mayor LeBlanc appointed four new members to the Equity, Diversity, & Inclusion Committee: Kateryna Omelianchenko, Deepti Suddul, Jessica Allen, and Michael Flinn.
- By-law enforcement officers Jordan Langlois and Marc Charest — contracted through Municipal Enforcement Services — were appointed to assist with by-law enforcement in the Town of Riverview.

Open Council for budget deliberations will take place on Wednesday, November 1, 2023, from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
